Day Habilitation Services

Day Habilitation aims to provide an environment in which
participants may develop relationships, hobbies, and skills at their
own pace. Day Habilitation offers to participants the appropriate
means necessary to participate, recreate, integrate, contribute,
and to involve themselves in the community in which they live.
Day Habilitation offers choice for people with developmental
disabilities, because individualization is the key to a participant's
success in day habilitation.
Participants are able to make long
lasting friendships with each other through the Day Hub Program.

Participants volunteer throughout Chenango County. They are
involved in community activities such as: shopping, dining,
bowling (for fun and Special Olympics), swimming at the local
YMCA and fishing.  A Chime Choir performs concerts throughout
the year. Program Participants like being able to choose, and
that's what it's all about. The participants shape the program, a
program full of nurturing, recreation and fulfillment.
Day Habilitation
provides social inclusion among peers, interaction within the
community and a sense of self pride.
